اشعیا گفنی (به انگلیسی: Isaiah Gafni) (متولد ۱۹۴۴)، مورخ یهودیت در دوره معبد دوم و تلمودی است. او دارای کرسی "سول روزنبلوم" در تاریخ یهود در دانشگاه عبری اورشلیم و از سال ۲۰۱۶ رئیس کالج شالم در اورشلیم است.
زندگینامه
اشعیا گفنی در نیویورک متولد شد. او در سال ۱۹۵۸ به اسرائیل مهاجرت کرد.
او دارای مدرک دکترای تاریخ یهود از دانشگاه عبری اورشلیم (۱۹۷۸) تحت هدایت مناخیم استرن و شموئل سافرای است. همچنین مدارک کارشناسی ارشد (۱۹۶۹) و کارشناسی (۱۹۶۶) خود را نیز از دانشگاه عبری دریافت کرده است.
